Reporting Copyright Infringement

The University's agent to receive notifications of copyright infringement is:

Infringement claims must be in writing and must include the following elements:

1. a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner;
2. a description of the copyrighted work;
3. identification of the infringing material as well as information sufficient to permit us to locate it on the University of Rochester Web site;
4. contact information for the complainant, e.g. address, telephone number, electronic mail address;
5. a statement that the complaining party has a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner or the law; and
6. a statement under penalty of perjury that the information contained in the notification is accurate.
