President’s Strategic Opportunities Fund: $5.9 Million pledged
                                       Health Sciences Division: $2.2 pledged

                        FUNDS SUPPORT STRATEGIC INITIATIVES AND ALLOW THE UNIVERSITY TO PURSUE EMERGING PRIORITIES EACH YEAR.

                                                             CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL



                                                             •  Funds to support facilities projects helped build the
                                                               new, eight-story Golisano Children’s Hospital, which
                                                               opened in 2015, and includes the Gosnell Neonatal
                                                               Intensive Care Unit, private patient rooms, and an
                                                               advanced imaging facility. 2017 saw the opening of
                                                               the Levine Autism Clinic, tailored to meet sensory
                                                               sensitivities and stimulation for children with autism
                                                               spectrum disorder, and Phase II of the Hospital’s
                                                               construction including a new pediatric intensive care
                                                               unit, a second unit for heart patients, and state-of-the-
                                                               art operating rooms.
          $2.7 Million                                       •  Funds for recruitment helped draw master clinicians,

                                                               ensuring the robustness of the health care, medicine,
                                                               and science workforce in upstate New York for
                                                               generations to come.

                                                             •  Programs like music therapy and social work were able
                                                               to provide vital services to children with healthcare
                                                               problems and to help families across the region keep
                                                               their children healthy.

                                                             ART GALLERY


                                                             •  The Gallery’s new Centennial Sculpture Park opened.
                                                               One of several works commissioned for the park was
                                                               Unicorn Family by artist Wendell Castle.

                                                             •  The Gallery offered several award-winning art and
                                                               wellness initiatives, ranging from custom tours for
                                                               Alzheimer’s patients and their caregivers to opportunities
                                                               for hospital patients to experience the comfort and
                                                               healing power of viewing artworks at their bedsides.

                                                             •  The number of students in public elementary school
          $3.4 Million                                         outreach was tripled by offering art education to
