• Scholarship support provided financial aid to hundreds
of students, allowing future nurse leaders to pursue a
nursing education, and helping to address the national
shortages of nurses and nursing faculty.
• Nurse researchers received pilot project and seed
funding to help promote wellness, develop and
evaluate clinical treatments, and optimally manage
patients’ conditions.
• Annual support continued to help us launch new
programs, like the Master’s in Nursing Education, to
meet the growing needs for exceptional nurse educators.

• Scholarships helped the School continue to attract and
successfully compete for the nation’s top medical and
graduate students, and kept their graduation debt far
below the national average.
• People around the world are closer to benefiting from
the next great medical discovery thanks to support of
our faculty and their research. For example, in the Del
Monte Institute for Neuroscience and the Department
of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation, pilot project
funding has supported the ideas of early- and mid-
