Expectations for Annual Increases
Minimum Stipend/Salary (MBS)
The University of Rochester is committed to ensuring competitive and equitable compensation for its community members. As part of this commitment, the annual salary/stipend minimum will be reviewed and may be adjusted on an annual basis. Any adjustment will align with the timing of faculty and staff salary processes, occurring on July 1 each year. While the University strives to reflect the average wage and salary adjustment for the institution, an annual increase to the minimum is not guaranteed.
Incumbent Postdocs
Provided satisfactory performance and progress, at the time of reappointment, departments are expected to provide annual pay increases for incumbent Postdoctoral Appointees similar to Wage and Salary increases provided to University of Rochester faculty and staff. If an increase is not provided, departments are required to provide documentation of unsatisfactory performance and progress to the administrative office in their school responsible for postdoctoral affairs.
