Sam worked with the Collections and the Public Programs teams at the Strong. With Collections, she practiced conservation benchwork, relocated various objects from thirty-foot rugs to miniature teacup sets, and helped ID, photograph, and place incoming objects into storage. Additionally, she wrote up an examination report, treatment plan, and the documentation of her treatment of a pinball game from around 1945. With Public Programs, Sam researched, brainstormed, and organized an event about bats and Batman as well as various aspects of other events; she also supported events by doing the storybook readings and encouraging guests to interact with the various crafts and activities.
