All hourly paid staff are guaranteed at least four hours of straight-time pay as compensation for the inconvenience of being called to work other than their regularly scheduled shift.

The University requires staff to wear/use safety or personal protective equipment when assigned work that may cause injury or illness.

As an expression of appreciation and to recognize long service, the University honors eligible staff members. Awards, in the form of gifts from the University, may be selected by the honorees from the Service Awards brochure.
The University is required by law, when served with an income execution, wage assignment, family court support order, or federal tax levy against a faculty or staff member, to make deductions from the individual's wages until the debt has been satisfied, or as otherwise required by the order.
The University supports the use of volunteers who provide charitable services to hospitals and to other parts of the University. No volunteer, however, may perform work that is also performed by paid University employees.
Those selected for University sponsorship of the Simon School Executive MBA Program are individuals with a demonstrated potential for senior management positions in the University.
Newly established positions or significantly changed existing positions will be classified by Human Resources. The appropriate position code and pay/salary grade will be assigned based on an analysis of the documented duties and responsibilities.
