October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM). Join the Title IX Office at one of the several prevention and harm reduction programs happening throughout the month of October. Opportunities to get involved include planting flags outside of Taylor Hall on October 1 at 11:30 a.m.; wearing purple for National Purple Thursday on October 23; participating in the Expression Wall in Wilson Commons, October 13–18; reading one of the suggested texts in the Rush Rhees Library highlight collection; and making Survivor Self-Care Kits on October 17. We hope everyone in our community will take a stand to end relationship violence, be BADASS Bystanders, and respect boundaries. Find more details by following the office on Instagram or via CCC.
