University-recognized student organizations are invited to apply for a mini-grant to develop a program or activity that exemplifies the spirit and purpose of Title IX by fostering a culture of prevention and awareness to end sexual violence, cultivate relationship respect, and create consent culture through education in our University community. To apply, scroll down and complete the grant submission form.

Title IX mini-grants will be awarded for $200.

Submission Deadlines

Grant proposals should be submitted 30 days in advance of your proposed event or program date to facilitate review by the Selection Committee and processing of the funds.

To be eligible for a Title IX mini-grant or co-sponsorship, a program/event must be:

  1. In line with the Title IX Office’s mission and values related to preventing and stopping sexual and relationship violence.
  2. The person submitting the application must be an active student enrolled at the University and an e-board member or in a leadership role of a University-approved Undergraduate College Student Organization, Fraternity & Sorority Life Group, or Residential Life Group.
  3. Your group must apply at least one month before the event. If approved, we will inform you of the additional information our office will need. 

We are unable to sponsor events that do not align with the scope of our mission or those requested outside of the minimum amount of time required.

The proposal should describe how it will help participants or attendees: understand the legal or University definitions of sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, stalking, affirmative consent, and/or will help them navigate the legal landscape of Title IX; or brings awareness of the above terms and their impacts, or establishes opportunities for attendees to become more involved in long-term sexual misconduct prevention work on campus; or helps attendees gain focused education on those or similarly related topics; or builds skills through hands-on bystander intervention training, workshops for creating healthy and respectful dating relationships, or opportunities to practice affirmative consent.
Options could be attending a workshop, practicing skills, watching a presentation, engaging in an activity, etc.

If you've done a similar program in the past, please include a brief overview of the attendance; impact your program had on participants, and any feedback obtained. If you have not worked with Title IX prior, you can write N/A.
