Tertulia at the New York City Cervantes: Sergio Chejfec

Sergio Chejfec (Argentine) is one of the most interesting Latin American writers on the current scene. In 1990 he moved to Venezuela, where he launched Nueva Sociedad, a journal of politics, culture and social sciences. Chejfec has written novels, essays and poetry. Noteworthy among his works are Lenta biografía (1990), Los planetas (1999), Boca de Lobo (2000), Los incompletos (2004) and Mis dos mundos (2008). Memory, political violence, Judeo-Argentine culture and history are some of the recurring themes in his works.
