Eugenio Montale and Italian Poetry in the Twentieth Century

The Italian Cultural Institute of New York and the American Academy in Rome present a reading of the work of Italian Nobel Laureate, Eugenio Montale, and an international conference dedicated to Eugenio Montale and Italian Poetry in 20th century.

The two-day reading and conference inaugurate a series of events celebrating the 150th Anniversary of the Unification of Italy. A group of distinguished academics and literary figures including, Gianni Beccaria, Giuseppe Conte, Giorgio Ficara, Massimiliano Finazzer Flory, Fabio Finotti, Jonathan Galassi, Rosanna Warren, Rebecca West and Charles Wright will read and present many of Eugenio Montale’s greatest works.
