Arvon Literary Translation Course

A five-day residential course in Literary Translation will be offered from August 27th to September 1st at the Lumb Bank Arvon Centre (West Yorkshire, England), as part of a partnership between the Arvon Centre and the British Centre for Literary Translation.

Held in a rustic 18th-century manor house in the Pennines, the course is open to writers of any language and will offer one-on-one tutoring, workshops, and plenty of writing time. Translators Sasha Dugdale, Michael Henry Heim, and Anthea Bell will be featured.

To apply, please submit one double-spaced page of translation and the same text in the original to lumbbank@arvonfoundation.org by 29 June 2012. Grants are available for those with a low income. A not-to-miss for literary translators.
