Description: Generation 2 pairs college students with K-2nd grade children through weekly 30 minute 1:1 child-centered visits in School #36 in Rochester. A G2 coordinator provides assistance. G2 needs 8-12 volunteers that can commit to 2.5 hours between 11:30-2:pm weekly on Mon, Wed, or Fri for one school year. In service training is provided There are no certification or language requirements. G2 promotes community building and intergenerational friendships necessary for children to learn in school.
