A simulation of the work done at leading companies. Any student, regardless of university degree, prior experience, location or year group, can now have the opportunity to experience working at some of the world's top firms.


Intersect Job Simulations
InterSECT is an online platform that allows PhD-level scientists and humanists, regardless of professional stage, to explore future career options. Our goal is to provide true-to-life job simulation exercises that help individuals consider the following questions:

  • What are my professional interests and skills?
  • How do my interests and skills translate to potential careers?
  • What are my career options?
  • Which careers haven’t I considered?

MindSumo
MindSumo was created out of the Stanford Student Startup Accelerator, StartX, by three friends who wanted to change the way that creative thinkers and companies worked together. Today MindSumo has become the leading platform for Millennial & Gen Z problem solvers to apply their creativity and innovation by working on projects from top companies from around the world. Our community represents over 350,000 "problem solvers" from six continents and over 3,000 universities. Companies work with our users on these projects to ideate, gather insights, and drive new thinking within their organization. Compete on diverse case competitions for financial awards. Topics vary across industries.

When you are launching your career, Micro-Internships provide a tremendous opportunity. Not only can you explore different career paths and work on interesting assignments, you can also demonstrate your abilities to potential employers while building your professional portfolio and network. Beyond that, your academic experience will improve as you apply what is taught in the classroom to the real world (and vice versa). Oh, did we forget to mention that you get paid for all of this?

Looking to connect with companies that match your interests and passions? Upload your resume, flag companies and projects, then collaborate virtually through a semester just like a regular employee. Upon completion, you can choose to continue working with the same company or join a new one.


Jobspresso
Jobspresso features a wide range of curated jobs in tech, marketing, customer support, and more. You can search their virtual job board for openings and post your resume to be searched and seen by potential employers. Jobspresso allows users to search the globe for remote work, by filtering through nine different color-coded job function categories ranging project management, sales, design, support, writing and more. If users like a particular positing, they can choose to receive alerts that are similar to it. In addition, the site company website and social media information on job postings. This site includes international postings.


COVINTERN
Get connected with remote internships at top startups and companies. COVINTERN connects employers with positions and programs to fill with students from top universities with available time and a desire to learn. Search by categories including software engineering, design, product management, marketing, data science, government and non-profit.

UR Education Abroad
The Center for Education Abroad in conjunction with our international partners, is excited to offer several virtual global opportunities for students. These virtual opportunities are not meant to take the place of a physical abroad experience however they offer valuable academic and intercultural experiences and exposure to cross-cultural competencies. A virtual summer global internship offers students the opportunity of professional experiences and development in a remote work setting as well as exposure to the cultural differences in how companies operate and how they have embraced remote operations around the world.
