Epigenetics and Genome Stability Cluster

The Epigenetics and Genome Stability Cluster will encompass researchers in fields related to epigenetics, genome stability, and DNA repair. There has become a real need at the University of Rochester for researchers in these areas to develop a mechanism to foster greater synergy and collaboration. The cluster in Epigenetics and Genome Stability will enhance communication between both students and faculty throughout the Medical Center and the River Campus interested in the basic structural biology of nucleic acids, protein-DNA complexes, chromatin structure and function, DNA repair and associated processes, and mechanisms of viral replication. It is our aim to share ideas establish supportive and collaborative interactions and to bring in outside speakers of high stature in the field as part of annual two-day interactive workshops to keep the group abreast of the latest techniques and to develop greater usage of interdisciplinary approaches.
