The RNA Cluster will meet at 4 p.m. in K-307. We will have two ~30-min talks:
- "Role of Translational Elongation Factor eIF5A in Heart Disease", Jiali He (Peng Yao’s lab)
- "CRISPR-Cas13b activated Csx28 functions as a tRNA-gated membrane pore”, Mert Koka (Mitch O’Connell’s lab)

Thursday, February 5, 2026—Translation Club (Protein Synthesis Cluster) Meeting
Peng Yao is going to present a chalk talk titled “Exploring Interplay between Protein Translation and Degradation in Cardiac Pathophysiology: A Battle about Balance, Imbalance, and Rebalance (Cracking the Function and Mechanism of eIF5A in Cardiac Myocytes and Fibroblasts)”.
