WARNER SCHOOL

                                                             OF EDUCATION



                                                             •  Growing support for the Horizons at Warner summer
                                                               program for more than 150 low-income youth has
                                                               allowed the program to flourish and sustain its
                                                               programming at the University.

                                                             •  Support continues to fuel the school’s work with the
                                                               University’s Educational Partnership Organization
                                                               (EPO) at East, making extracurricular experiences
                                                               possible for many East High students and launching the
                                                               Center for Urban Education Success. The center will
                                                               inform best practices at East High and capture what is
                                                               being learned through the EPO, and from other school
          $2,065,349                                           reform initiatives, for the benefit of struggling urban

                                                             •  The establishment of critically needed George Eastman
                                                               Circle scholarships at the school will assist in attracting
                                                               exemplary students to its counseling, teaching, and
                                                               school leadership programs.

                                                             OF NURSING


                                                             •  The school awarded a total of $1.86 million in financial
                                                               aid to 174 students. This support allowed talented
                                                               students to pursue a nursing education and help address
                                                               national shortages of nurses and nursing faculty.

                                                             •  The Center for Academic and Professional Success
                                                               continued to provide free academic support services.
                                                               Nearly 300 nursing students received individual
                                                               assistance through the center last year.

                                                             •  Faculty members received funding for pilot research
                                                               studies and support services that are crucial to earning
          $1,310,007                                           externally funded grants, as well as improving
