On Wednesday, June 18, 2025, the U.S. State Department announced that it would resume the previously suspended process for international students applying for visas. The new process will require a review of social media accounts. All applicants will be asked to make their accounts “public.” Previous instruction did not require public access to social media accounts, however the change in State Department processes now necessitates this step. Students should monitor their consulate or embassy websites for available appointments.
