The University’s Department of Public Safety is joining a nationwide community policing effort by installing “cruise lights” on their fleet of vehicles, adding to officers’ visibility as they provide service to the University community.

With the secret ingredient of brussel sprouts and judges from the Students’ Association and Wilson Commons staff, officers in the Department of Public Safety teamed up with chefs from University Dining Services for the first “Cooking with DPS Iron Chef” competition.

Anthony Green, deputy to the provost since 2016, has been named chief of staff to the president, and secretary to the Board of Trustees. President Sarah Mangelsdorf announced Green’s appointment, which is effective Jan. 1, 2020.

Adrienne Morgan, assistant dean for medical education diversity and inclusion in the School of Medicine and Dentistry, will begin her new role as associate vice president on December 2.
