Supervisor Workshop Series

Session 1: Student Employment Basics (Admins)

  • Wednesday, February 4th at 11am, Zoom
  • This session is intended for new administrators or anyone looking for a refresher. Attendees will learn how to navigate JobLink & Workday while learning more about policies, eligibility, and other fundamentals along the way.

Session 2: Hiring & Onboarding (Admins & Supervisors)

  • Wednesday, March 4th at 11am, Zoom
  • This session is intended for those actively involved in the hiring and onboarding process. From identified need to writing a job description and Day 1 onboarding, learn the ins and outs of the hiring process and tips for improving your onboarding process.

Session 3: Best Practices & Employee Recognition (Admins & Supervisors)

  • Wednesday, April 1st at 11am, Zoom
  • This session will focus on everything that happens after onboarding. From disciplinary conversations, performance improvement, to employee recognition, this session will cover the management process.

Session 4: Workshop Day

  • Friday, June 5th, from 9am – noon, In-person location TBA
  • This workshop is a hands-on opportunity to connect with other Admins and Supervisors on campus. Guest speakers from across campus will guide learning on job descriptions, difficult conversations, writing learning outcomes and more!
