Title IX Sex Discrimination, Sex-based Harassment, and Sex- and Gender-based Misconduct

The purpose of the Title IX Sex Discrimination, Sex-based Harassment, and Sex- and Gender-Based Misconduct Policy is to prohibit and address discrimination and harassment based on sex and gender in the university’s education programs and activities. This includes ensuring compliance with federal regulations under Title IX, which forbids sex-based discrimination and harassment in institutions receiving federal funding.

The policy defines prohibited conduct, such as sexual harassment, dating violence, domestic violence, and stalking, and establishes procedures for reporting violations, grievance processes, and resolution methods. It also outlines protections against retaliation and provides measures to support those affected by violations. The policy is designed to foster a safe, non-discriminatory environment, with clear processes for investigating and addressing complaints.
