During 2005-06 sponsored program activity across the University increased by 4.2% to $355.3 million.
Expenditures for the School of Medicine and Dentistry increased marginally from $215 million to $216 million. The College's expenditures including the Laboratory for Laser Energetics were $125 million or 12.9% over June 2005.
External funding for the Laboratory for Laser Energetics increased 20.9% over prior year to $76.5 million.

During 2005-06, gift receipts showed an increased $1.9 million to $69.2 million, a 2.8% increase.
