TEACHING
Most of my teaching during the past several years has been in the sociology of mental disorder and medical sociology.
RESEARCH
In recent years my research activities have been conducted on one or another aspect of the sociology of mental disorder; among these are the following: (i) psychopathology and crime, (ii) effects of technological change on psychiatric diagnosis and treatment, (iii) social class and mental disorder, and (iv) the relation between religious belief and psychic distress.
