Did you know...

The University of Rochester was tied for 99th on the list of the world's top 500 supercomputing sites in June 2012. It is one of the five most powerful university-based supercomputing sites in the United States.

From 1970 to 2010, 191 students received PhDs based on research carried out at the Laboratory for Laser Energetics. More than 100 PhDs have been granted at other institutions for work done by students at LLE as a result of its designation as a National Laser Users’ Facility.
