Why did you choose UR for graduate education?
I choose to study at UR because all the support they give for PhD students along the years to build a great career. I really wanted to be in a place that I could have advice from experienced mentors, don't feel alone in the PhD path, and be able to improve professionally and personally.
I'm sure I did an excellent choice coming to Rochester, I love this city so much!
What resources or services have you found the most helpful at UR?
I really like some events that are for grad students, such as the Graduate Resources fair and Graduate activities fair.
Also, a hidden jewel is the GEPA website - I added it at my fav navigator bar because there's a lot of helpful information for grad students and you never know when you will need them.
What are your favorite spots on or off-campus in Rochester?
When I'm not at my grad office, I love being around Rush Rhees library (more specifically, at the Periodical Reading Room). When I'm there, I feel like I'm in a movie, and also feel more motivated to study than when I'm at home.
