• We found some interesting info about a predecessor to Sebald (W. G. that is, not Alice) and a couple critical books about his work;

• E. J. reviewed Dai Vaughan’s latest;

• Bulgakov got some nice attention in The Guardian this week;

• The new Hesperus magazine came out, as did the second part of the Summer issue of Rain Taxi

• NASCAR and the 27% of Americans who don’t read books made me cry;

• And, of course, the LongPen made its regular weekly appearance;
