Rhodes and Marshall Scholarships Campus Timelines
Please be advised that before we nominate you or endorse your candidacy for a fellowship competition, we will perform a conduct and academic honesty check to confirm that you are in good disciplinary and academic standing.
All deadlines are 11:59 p.m. unless otherwise noted.
Rhodes 2024-25 Deadlines
Spring: Submit resume and have initial meeting with the director of fellowships by spring of application year to discuss potential candidacy.
July 1: Both the Prospective Applicant Form and the Fellowships Preliminary Questionnaire (FPQ) are due in spring/early, followed by meeting with director of fellowships to discuss application preparation. Already submitted an FPQ? If it has been more than one academic year since you completed your FPQ, please submit the FPQ Update.
July - August: Schedule follow-up meeting(s) to discuss application strategy and progress.
August 24: Upload a complete, polished official scholarship application via our secure online portal. (Mitchell: do not complete online submission before campus interview). Campus interview may be forfeited if deadline not met.
August 31: Have recommendation letters* submitted via our secure online form from each referee. Inform recommenders that letters are needed for the campus committee review/nomination process.
*Recommendation letter files should be named according to this format: Student Last Name_Fellowship Name Rec_Recommender Last Name (e.g., Smith_Fulbright Rec_Jones)
Early September: Campus nomination interview in early September.
September 21 (Mitchell): If nominated, complete, finalized application submitted online and via our secure online portal.
October 4 (Rhodes): If nominated, complete, finalized application submitted online and via our secure online portal.
Marshall 2024-25 Deadlines
Spring: Submit resume and have initial meeting with director of fellowships by spring of application year to discuss potential candidacy.
July 1: Submit Fellowships Preliminary Questionnaire, followed by meeting with director of fellowships to discuss application preparation.
July 27: Submit initial draft of online application (with essays) through Embark online application system, then contact Fellowships Office to schedule meeting with Director of Fellowships.
August 24: Resubmit complete, revised application through Embark online application system for internal review committee. Campus interview may be forfeited if deadline not met.
August 31: Have all recommendation letters* submitted through Embark online application system for internal review committee. Inform recommenders that letters are needed for the campus committee review/nomination process.

September: Campus nomination interview in early September.
September 20: If nominated, complete, finalized application resubmitted through online application system.
