Sound Bath x Acupuncture Events

Recharge your mind and body with a Sound Bath x Acupuncture session offered by the Mindful University Project in partnership with Anaglog Music and ACU 585! These immersive experiences held a few times during the semester combines the meditative power of a sound bath with the therapeutic effects of acupuncture to support stress relief, focus, and overall well-being—perfect for students balancing academic demands.

Research Supports These Methods 

Sound Baths

  • Stress Reduction: A study found that sound therapy significantly reduced stress and anxiety levels among college students after a sound bath session (Matz et al., 2021). 
  • Anxiety Relief: Research showed that college students experienced decreased anxiety levels following sound baths, promoting relaxation and mindfulness (Leckie et al., 2019). 
  • Chronic Pain Relief: A study found that sound baths reduced perceived pain levels in college students, promoting relaxation and enhancing pain management (Matz et al., 2021). 

 Acupuncture 

  • Stress Reduction: A study involving college students found that acupuncture effectively lowered stress levels, enhancing overall well-being (Wang et al., 2020). 
  • Anxiety Alleviation: Research demonstrated that acupuncture significantly reduced anxiety symptoms in college students, with many participants reporting improved mood (Lee et al., 2016). 
  • Emotion Regulation: Research indicated that acupuncture significantly enhanced emotional regulation in college students, helping them manage stress and anxiety more effectively (Lee et al., 2016).
