Student Mindfulness Facilitator Training
The Student Facilitator Training offered by the Mindful University Project is an ideal opportunity for anyone looking to learn about mindfulness, deepen their practice, and lead mindfulness sessions. The training covers the benefits of cultivating mindfulness, the history of various practices, and their practical applications in trauma-informed wellness. Those who complete the training are eligible to join the Mindful University Project’s Student Mindfulness Committee — a space for like-minded, passionate students to take leadership in promoting mindfulness on campus.
The Student Mindfulness Community is a community of dedicated students who are passionate about cultivating mindfulness and well-being across campus. Members have completed the Student Mindfulness Facilitator Training, have taken our Calming U class, or have a strong personal interest in mindfulness and wish to grow in community with others who share these values. This committee serves as both a community of practice and a leadership hub—supporting students in deepening their own mindfulness journeys while helping others do the same.
Our Mindfulness Facilitator Training Workshops happen once per semester. The event is open to all undergraduate and graduate students, and registration is required. Attendees will be invited to apply to join the Mindful U Executive Committee. Bonus: You can receive Level 1 Medallion Credit by participating, and Level 2 when leading mindfulness sessions. Follow our newsletter to stay up to date when our next training is scheduled!
