EVENT: Mela, South-Asian cultural performance and dinner

TIME, DATE, AND PLACE: Performance at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 15, in Strong Auditorium; dinner follows at 5:30 p.m. in Douglass Dining Center on the University of Rochester's River Campus

ADMISSION: Tickets for the show and dinner are $13 for the general public, $11 for students; tickets for the performance only are $6 for the general public, $4 for students. Tickets can be purchased at India Market, 3259 Winton Rd.; India Palace, 1900 Clinton Ave.; or at the Common Market in Wilson Commons on the River Campus.

The Association for the Development of Interest in the Indian Subcontinent (ADITI) presents its 20th annual show, Mela, which showcases the varied culture of the Indian subcontinent through student vocal, instrumental, and dance performances, including bhangra and dandia. The dinner following the performance will be catered by Thali of India.

ADITI is a student organization designed to promote and express the cultural and ethnic diversity of the Indian subcontinent, which includes the countries of Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
