Employee/Employer Relationships vs. Independent Contractors will govern the decision to determine whether or not an individual may be engaged as a Consultant or Independent Contractor.
All staffing requirements are to be considered employee/employer relationships and paid through the University payroll process unless proven otherwise. In unique situations, departments may purchase services from independent contractors (individuals or firms).
