Orientation 2011

UR Orientation 2012-2013

August 23 – August 29, 2012

Congratulations on your acceptance and welcome to the University of Rochester!

Going away to college is a big transition. Our Orientation program is designed to make that transition easier.

What is Orientation?

Encompassing a weeklong program organized by Orientation staff, incoming students will be introduced to each other, the campus, and the local community. Our Orientation staff and volunteers work hard to ensure you have a memorable week and a great introduction to life at the University of Rochester.

The programs and events on the first day of Orientation (Thursday, August 23rd) will be geared to new students. Move-in to the residence halls will begin at 9:00 am and programs will continue throughout the day. In mid-late June you will receive a mailing from Orientation regarding information on advising, foreign language placement, and your Academic Handbook. -International Students will be able to download all of the information online.

Please contact us if you have any questions about Orientation 2012. Follow us on twitter! (Regular updates will begin in April/May.)

Parents check back here in May to register for your Orientation online!
