Rick Hodes (MD) is the resident medical director in Ethiopia for the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee. He has been in that position since 1990, and recently received a $1.1 million grant from the Mary L. and William J. Osher Foundation to send three additional physicians to assist him at clinics in Addis Ababa and Gondar.
