1970

John (MD), ’72 (Res) and Nancy Dembeck Richert ’73 (PhD) joined Biogen Idec, a biotechnology company in Cambridge, Mass., last spring. John writes: “Nancy serves as their in-house radiologist and is involved with developing imaging protocols for clinical trials of new products for treatment of nervous system disorders. I’m vice president and senior fellow of neurology.”

1985

Mark Eisenberg (MD) has published a book, The Physician Scientist’s Career Guide (Springer, 2010). Mark is a professor of medicine at McGill University, an associate member of its Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Occupational Health, and director of clinical research of the McGill cardiology fellowship program. He’s also a staff cardiologist at Montreal’s Jewish General Hospital, director of the hospital’s Cardiovascular Health Services Research Group, and a principal investigator at its Centre for Epidemiology and Community Studies.

1990

Ann Maine (PhD) has been elected president of the Lake County (Ill.) Forest Preserve District Board of Commissioners. A senior lecturer of biology at Lake Forest College in Chicago, she’s been a board member since 2002.

2003

Susan Yussman (MPH), (Res), an assistant professor of pediatrics and assistant professor of community health at the Medical Center and at Golisano Children’s Hospital, was recognized by the Rochester Business Journal as one of 2010’s “40 Under 40” business and community leaders.
