1965

Madeline Hubbard Schmitt ’70 (MA) was a keynote speaker at the first annual Signe Skott Cooper Symposium at the University of Wisconsin–Madison in January. The symposium, “Building a Foundation for Interprofessional Education,” was designed to further efforts for collaborative learning among various types of health care professionals. Madeline was the Independence Foundation Chair in Nursing and Interprofessional Education at Rochester until her retirement in 2005. A founding member of the American Interprofessional Health Collaborative, she remains active in efforts to develop models of interprofessional education.
