Overview
At the University of Rochester, course registration is done in UR Student, the University's student information system. Review the information and links below to make sure you're ready to enroll in your selected courses after you meet with your college advisor.
Registration
Incoming students will be able to register after meeting with their college advisor, who will reach out within three weeks of their official enrollment at the University. Incoming students will receive a welcome email from their college advisor and other important advising information. All communications will be sent to the University of Rochester email.

UR Student
You will use UR Student, the University's student information system, to register for your courses throughout your time at Rochester. Use the button below to learn more about UR Student, including VPN/remote access information and course registration tutorials.
Account Holds
As an incoming student, you will an advising hold on your UR Student account that will need to be lifted in order for you to register:
- CAS Advising Hold: This hold will be lifted once you have discussed your academic plans with your college advisor and your saved schedule is approved.
