University of Rochester Medicine is the new umbrella for the University of Rochester’s fully integrated academic health system. URochester Medicine (the preferred second reference) encompasses the academic and clinical programs headquartered on the University’s Health Sciences Campus, known previously as the University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC), and the clinical care enterprise known previously under the brand name UR Medicine.
Note that many of URochester Medicine’s clinical facilities are located off campus, including outside Rochester.
