The team in University Marketing and Communications includes experts in public affairs, digital strategy, editorial and creative storytelling, branding, change management, and more. We create and consult, applying our know-how to raise awareness about the remarkable discovery, teaching, and learning happening at the University of Rochester every day.

We are brand stewards who create strategic materials for the University, like logos, templates, campus signage, and more.
We oversee and support many of the University’s central websites–the front door to our “digital campus”.
Our community managers are responsible for the University’s primary overarching social media accounts, like Facebook and Instagram.
Working with news and media outlets, we help get Rochester’s stories out to the world, and provide our community with timely updates on critical issues.
We help facilitate communication from University leaders, and work as stewards to help the community prepare for and adapt to change.
We manage and support the University’s Events Calendar, a comprehensive tool for finding and sharing event information.
We’re building a marketing function that will significantly increase the awareness and perception of the University’s brand.
