Student Mindfulness Facilitator Training

The Student Facilitator Training offered by the Mindful University Project is an ideal opportunity for anyone looking to learn about mindfulness, deepen their practice, and lead mindfulness sessions. The training covers the benefits of cultivating mindfulness, the history of various practices, and their practical applications in trauma-informed wellness. Those who complete the training are eligible to join the Mindful U Executive Committee — a space for like-minded, passionate students to take leadership in promoting mindfulness on campus.

The executive committee’s goal is to provide students with opportunities to practice leading mindfulness sessions at virtual and in-person events, find creative ways to encourage students to incorporate mindfulness into their daily routines, and offer guidance to those new to the practice. Students will attend biweekly meetings to brainstorm ideas and utilize their skills and interests to nurture a flourishing mindfulness community on campus.

Our Mindfulness Facilitator Training Workshop is happening on October 25th, 2024, from 4:40 PM to 7:00 PM in Genesee 325. The event is open to all undergraduate and graduate students, and registration is required. Attendees will be invited to apply to join the Mindful U Executive Committee. Bonus: You can receive Level 1 Medallion Credit by participating, and Level 2 when leading mindfulness sessions.
