University of Rochester juniors Joshua Reed and David LeBlanc will conduct a performance of The Beatles' 1967 Magical Mystery Tour album as part of an independent study project. Their showcase will feature musicians from both the River Campus and the Eastman School of Music. The album includes such famous songs as "I am the Walrus," "All You Need is Love," and "Penny Lane." The students' goal is to create a faithful reproduction of the album in a live setting. Their project adviser is John Covach, chair of the Department of Music Department in the College of Arts, Sciences, and Engineering.
