EVENT: Winterfest Weekend Comedian Michael Ian Black

TIME, DATE, AND PLACE: 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, in Strong Auditorium on the University of Rochester's River Campus

ADMISSION: $5 for University undergraduates; $10 for the University community; and $15 for the public. Tickets can be purchased at the Common Market in Wilson Commons after Jan. 22 and, if still available, at the door.

Michael Ian Black, a popular comedian known for his wide range of work and sarcastic humor on shows such as VH1's series "I Love the " and the Comedy Central series "Stella" began his career as a member of the comedy group "The State" and was featured on the television show by the same name on MTV. He has also appeared on the Comedy Central shows "Crank Yankers" and "Reno 911!" and is a regular in Sierra Mist commercials.

Black has recently taken on a new role as editor-at-large of Cracked, the half-century old humor magazine re-launched after a two-year hiatus.
