Going away to college is a big transition. Our Orientation program is designed to make that transition easier.
What is Orientation?
Encompassing a weeklong program organized by Orientation staff, incoming students will be introduced to each other, the campus, and the local community. Our Orientation staff and volunteers work hard to ensure you have a memorable week and a great introduction to life at the University of Rochester.
The programs and events on the first day of Orientation (Tuesday, August 25th) will be geared to new students. Move-in to the residence halls will begin at 9:00 am and programs will continue throughout the day.
Students and family members will receive detailed information about Orientation, including Parent Orientation, in late spring and during the summer months. Many of the forms you'll need for Orientation should be completed at Orientation Online before July 31, 2009. But what are you waiting for? Get started today!
