Beckman Scholars Program
A highly selective program, the Beckman Scholars Program provides undergraduates in the fields of biological and chemical sciences the opportunity to conduct independent laboratory research under the mentorship of select University of Rochester faculty over the course of 15 months.

Discover Grant for Summer Research
Sponsored by the Schwartz Undergraduate Research Fund
The Discover Grant for Summer Research is a $5000 grant that can help fund living expenses for unpaid summer research experiences for students. The application cycle opens annually each spring and is highly competitive.
Applications open on January 18. The application deadline is March 31.
Undergraduate Research Exposition
April 14, 2023, Hawkins Carlson Room and the Palestra
The annual Undergraduate Research Exposition is a college-wide event held in April of each year in which University of Rochester students at all levels and in all areas of study are invited to present their investigative and creative work. The Expo reflects the passion for learning that enlivens the University, professors, and students alike, and that finds expression in varied forms, in every area of study.
Applications open on February 1. The application deadline is March 15.
Investigating Research! Fall Undergraduate Research Week

To assist in providing students with local, discipline-specific guidance about getting started in undergraduate research, the Office of Undergraduate Research holds an annual undergraduate research fair each fall. Patterned after the study abroad fair and the academic open houses, there will be tables populated by knowledgeable experts from many departments and programs who can answer questions concerning undergraduate research in that discipline.
