1970

Wendy Gelberg writes to announce the publication of her book, The Successful Introvert: How to Enhance Your Job Search and Advance Your Career (HappyAbout.info).

1972

Myra Ehrman ’72N sends a photo announcing her marriage to Paul McLellan on August 17, 2008, outside Toronto. She is now a stepmother to Enya and works as a project manager at Baycrest, a long-term care and research institution in Toronto. . . . Linda Horvitz Post sends an image from her first solo exhibition of major new work in nearly a decade at the R. Michelson Galleries in Northampton, Mass. She writes, “My most recent work, an exploration of the cusp of adolescence and the nature of personal relationships, is both more introspective and less overtly dreamlike than the imagery that has preoccupied me for the last 20 years.” Linda is founder of the Paradise City Arts Festival in Northampton. . . . Joe Safier ’73 S (MBA) writes that he was sworn in July 1 for a one-year term as a member of the Los Angeles Superior Court Civil Grand Jury, a citizens’ watchdog group. The jury investigates possible wrongdoings by local public officials.

1973

David Barnes sends a photo along with the announcement that he has been named to the boards of directors of Agenda-International Group Inc. and Siemens Inc. In addition, he recently married fashion model Tatyana Martyanova. The couple lives in Nashua, N.H.

1974

Risë Zywotow Birnbaum announces that her marketing and public relations firm, zcomm, again topped the Washington Business Journal’s Top 25 PR Agencies list in revenue this past year. In addition, her contemporary Watergate apartment in Washington, D.C., was recently awarded the “top design award” in Spaces magazine. Risë invites alumni to contact her at rise@zpr.com.

1975

Merilee Karr won the Bellevue Literary Review’s nonfiction prize for an essay that appeared in the journal’s spring issue. She lives in Oregon. . . . John Lubowitz writes that he and his wife, Sandra, have been married since 1978. Their daughter, Jordan, graduated from Northeastern University two years ago and their son, Dan, is a sophomore at SUNY-Oswego. John manages a real estate portfolio for Diamond Realty Management in Albany. . . . Steve Zisser writes that in addition to serving as managing tax counsel for Nationwide Insurance Companies, he constructs crossword puzzles. His puzzles have appeared in USA Today, the Universal Crossword Puzzle Syndicate, and the New York Times.

1977

George Jenkins, an information architect at BigBad Inc., a digital ad agency in Boston, participated with 236 other marketing professionals from 15 nations, in a project to create a book benefiting Variety, an international children’s charity. The Age of Conversation 2 (www.ageofconversation.com) is about the impact of conversation in marketing, business, and life in general.
