Fall Welcome Week takes place directly ahead of the first day of fall classes in August and is required for all incoming students beginning their studies in the fall semester.

Fall Welcome Week

August 24–29, 2026

The full Welcome Week schedule will be available in early August. While the schedule varies each year, here is a quick overview of the types of events and activities included in your program:

  • Social events to help you get to know your classmates
  • Residential hall meetings
  • Activities to help you get familiar with campus
  • Programs to introduce you to campus resources
  • Opportunities to connect with your academic advisor and departments
  • Events to help you learn about getting involved on campus
  • Time to prepare for your first day of classes

Required Form

Register by August 3

You are required to register for Fall 2026 Welcome Week by Monday, August 3. When completing your form, make sure to add all guests who will be attending family Welcome Week events, so they can be added to your registration.

Fall Welcome Week is not just for your student! Learn more about the events and activities taking place especially for parents and family members during the in-person component of your student's orientation. Events, including panels and Q&A sessions, opportunities to meet fellow incoming families, and connect with University leadership and staff, will take place Monday, August 24 through Wednesday, August 26
