Dave Boyce
'89
At Rochester:
- Starting QB for URochester's only NCAA-tournament qualifying football team in 1987
- Ranked 3rd all-time at graduation in passing attempts, completions, yards, touchdowns and passing yards per game
- In 1988, tossed for 1,558 yards, 15 touchdowns and had a school-record 95-yard touchdown pass
- Team had 9-2 record in 1987 and 8-2 record in 1988, including a UAA title
Post-Graduate:
- Joined family insurance business, Townsend Insurance
- Townsend was acquired by Tompkins Financial Corporation, and he advanced to become President and CEO to Tompkins Insurance Agencies
- Tompkins became a top-100 insurance company in the nation and was one of the largest bank-owned insurance agencies in the U.S.
- Serves as Area President of Arthur Gallagher & Co., the company that later acquired Tompkins.
- Resides in Rochester with his wife Irena. They have four children, Megan, Ryan, Gil, and Ella.
