Erin is a senior majoring in international relations and Spanish. She studied abroad in Lima, Peru during the Fall 2015 semester. While in Lima, Erin joined a urban dance group at a non-profit organization. She witnessed how students learn how to dance competitively and be leaders in their communities across the city. Not only did she greatly improve her Spanish skills and knowledge of Latin American politics, she also formed long-lasting friendships with Peruvian students. She plans to use her experience in Lima as motivation for pursuing a career in public interest law in order to represent those who might not have the financial ability or fluency in English to seek legal representation. She hopes to help students interested in study abroad handle the stresses that come from living in a different country and to truly make their study abroad experience their own.
