Meet our student ambassadors

Kristen Caruso portrait

Kristen Caruso

Kristen is a third-year English and Business major. She went abroad during the summer of 2024 on a faculty-led program to Rennes, France. While abroad, she found that she was capable of understanding more French than she ever thought was possible. She wants to be able to share her amazing experiences in France and guide other students to have a life-changing adventure abroad.

Pauline Gordula

Pauline is a Take 5 Scholar studying language development. She graduated with a degree in political science in May 2026. In Fall 2025, she studied abroad at University College London (UCL) through the IES Abroad Direct Enrollment program. While abroad, Pauline developed a passion for exploring new places and learning about different cultures through solo traveling. She hopes to help other students discover all that the world has to offer by encouraging them to embrace the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to study abroad!

Anwita Kasar

Anwita is a fourth-year biomedical engineering major. She went abroad to the University of Sydney in Sydney, Australia, during the Fall 2025 semester. While abroad, she became comfortable with the idea of talking to new people and trying out new adventures(even if she was scared). She wants to help ease any fears or doubts that students have about studying abroad, as it can be such a rewarding and unforgettable experience.

Yu-Tang Wang

Yu-Tang is a fourth-year brain and cognitive sciences and data science major. She studied abroad at DIS Copenhagen in Denmark during Fall 2025. Through studying abroad, Yu-Tang connected with local communities, traveled to new places, and explored a variety of academic fields and career paths. She would love to share her experiences and help other students discover the personal, cultural, and academic opportunities that studying abroad can offer.
