Costs are an important consideration for your time during Rochester. Incoming exchange students are not eligible for on-campus or off-campus employment, so having an expectation of these costs and fees is even more important. Review an estimated costs per semester breakdown below.

Direct costs (estimated)

These will appear as charges on your term bill.

  • Mandatory health fee: $378
  • Health insurance: $1,746
  • Room and board: $9,016
  • International student fee: $53
  • Campus Mailbox: $35

Indirect costs (estimated)

These are out-of-pocket expenses you can anticipate.

  • Personal: $540
  • Books: $655
