Overview

Cascade Server is the web content management system (WCMS) that is used by the University to maintain websites. The WCMS is a tool for creating and managing web pages.

While it works in most web browsers, we recommend that you use Google Chrome, which can be downloaded for free at www.google.com/chrome. If you're working from off campus you will need to use remote access (VPN) to log in to the Cascade Server.

How to use the WCMS

The links in the side menu of this section will provide the basics of editing and publishing within the WCMS. If you would like to schedule a WCMS training session please complete our service request form or email aseweb@rochester.edu.

The training session will review the basics of editing and publishing as well as tips and best practices. You will also need to review our web style guide of recommendations for fostering consistency across our websites and our web accessibility requirements that all web editors are required to follow.
