Course Approval

Courses from accredited degree-granting colleges and universities can be transferred to the University of Rochester.

Courses must be approved before you can earn transfer credit. Students will still need to submit a course approval form, signed by a University of Rochester authorized faculty member in accordance with the transfer credit policy as well as the academic department’s transfer credit policy.

ATTENTION: Students wanting to receive transfer credit for Psychology major or minor courses MUST choose a direct enroll or exchange education abroad program. In some circumstances, a Non-Partner program through another U.S. institution or a foreign institution may be suitable. Transfer credit is not guaranteed and must be reviewed by the Psychology department prior to committing to a program. Course approval forms need to be submitted several weeks before the application deadline.
